UConn R & D is currently evaluating several technologies invented by UConn professors and faculty. These include:

Bone Scaffolding

Dr. Sangamesh Kumbar, Ph.D., of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at UConn Health Center, is collaborating with several researchers in the Departments of Orthopaedic Surgery and Chemical, Materials and Biomolecular Engineering. His research focuses on novel mechanically competent natural polymer-derived scaffolds for bone repair and regeneration.
